Holy Land

Day 1: Sep 2nd, 2023 – Depart from our home countries on our international flight. Overnight on board.

Day 2: Sep 3rd, 2023 – Ben Gurion Airport / Tel Aviv
Arrival, reception by our representative at the airport, and transfer to our hotel in Tel Aviv. Day at leisure to start exploring on your own this new and wonderful country: ISRAEL, “The Promised Land.” We will have the opportunity to stroll along Rothschild Road and Nahalat Binyamin Road, the main streets of Downtown Tel Aviv, which also constitute the heart of the Economic Capital of Israel. Option to visit, explore, or take a well-deserved break at some of Tel Aviv’s main beach areas, followed by experiencing for the first time the Falafel and Shawarma, typical and traditional dishes of the Holy Land, which can be found in the majority of restaurants in Tel Aviv and throughout Israel. Day 3: Sep 4th, 2023 – Tel Aviv / Mediterranean Coast / Galilee
Breakfast. Departure to the neighborhood of Jaffa, the ancient port of Israel transformed into an interesting artist’s quarter that was the city of Joppa described in the “Acts of the Apostles”; visit to the Church of St. Peter. Continuing the journey along the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea Maritima, the Capital of the Roman Governors. Visit the Roman Amphitheater, the Crusader City, and the Aqueduct. Continue to the city of Haifa, located on Mount Carmel, where the challenge of the prophet Elijah hiding from King Ahab took place. Visit the Carmelite Monastery of Stella Maris. Panoramic view of the Bahai Temple and its magnificent Persian gardens. Arrival at the hotel in Nazareth.

Day 4: Sep 5th, 2023 – The region of the Sea of Galilee
Breakfast. The day begins with a visit to Bethsaida. Then, a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee. Along the shores, visit Capernaum, called “the City of Jesus,” where Jesus preached. You will visit the ruins of Peter’s house and the ruins of the ancient synagogue from the 4th century AD; Tabgha, the location of the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes; the Primacy of St. Peter and the Mount of Beatitudes. Return to the hotel in Nazareth.

Day 5: Sep 6th, 2023 – Magdala / Cana / Nazareth / Mount Tabor / Jesus’ Boat
Breakfast. We will start with visits to the new archaeological excavations in Magdala. Departure to the Mountains of Nazareth and visits to the Church of Cana of Galilee, where the First Miracle of Jesus took place: “the conversion of water into wine at the Wedding of Cana.” Continue to Nazareth, the place of Jesus’ childhood. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Proceed to Mount Tabor, where Jesus was transfigured before three of his disciples. Return to the hotel in Nazareth.

Day 6: Sep 7th, 2023 – Yardenit / Jericho / Qumran / Dead Sea / Jerusalem
Breakfast. Departure to Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site on the Jordan River. Now, for the first time, we will change countries; we will leave Israel and enter Palestine. The journey continues to Jericho, the oldest city in the world and the first city conquered by the Children of Israel upon their return from Egyptian captivity. Panoramic view of the Mount of Temptation. Visit Kaser el Yehud. Visit the Qumran caves, where the Essenes lived and where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found. On this day, please have your swimsuit ready as we will visit the Dead Sea and personally experience the incredible sensation of floating on the water. Arrival at the hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 7: Sep 8th, 2023 – Bethany / Old City
Breakfast. We start the day by visiting Bethany. Then, we will visit the City of David and Siloam. Entering through one of the Gates of the Old City, we will visit the Western Wall and the area of the Temple Mount. Continue to the Church of St. Anne, the Pool of Bethesda, and the Lithostrotos in the Sisters of Zion Monastery, following the Stations of the Via Dolorosa, and arriving at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We will witness and touch with our own hands the exact place where Jesus was crucified. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 8: Sep 9th, 2023 – Bethlehem / Ein Karem / Emmaus
Breakfast. Once again, we will change countries. We will leave Israel and enter Palestine. Journey to Bethlehem to visit the Basilica and Grotto of the Nativity. We will witness and touch with our own hands the exact place where the Baby Jesus was born, as well as the Shepherds’ Field. Departure to the neighborhood of Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist, and visit the Churches of St. John and the Visitation. Before returning, we will visit Emmaus. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 9: Sep 10th, 2023 – Mount of Olives / Mount Zion
Breakfast. Departure to the Mount of Olives to enjoy a panoramic view. Visit the Ascension site (we will witness and touch with our own hands the exact place where Jesus ascended to Heaven), the Pater Noster Grotto, and the Chapel of Dominus Flevit. Descending the Mount, we will arrive at the Garden of Gethsemane, where the Basilica of the Agony and the Cave of Betrayal are located. Continue to Mount Zion to visit the Tomb of King David, the Cenacle (the site of the Last Supper), the Abbey of the Dormition of the Virgin, and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 10: Sep 11th, 2023 – Jerusalem / Ben Gurion Airport
Breakfast. Free day to explore Jerusalem on your own. This day will be a great opportunity to experience Jerusalem in its daily life. You can visit “Yaffa” Street in the heart of the city and the largest and most popular market in Jerusalem, the spectacular “Mahane Yehuda Market.” Opportunity to mingle with the locals and enjoy Falafel and Shawarma, typical and traditional dishes of both Israel and Palestine (personalized assistance and suggestions for additional activities during this day). At night, at midnight or even early morning, or at the scheduled time, transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv to take the return flight home. Alternatively, for those continuing their expedition, you will take your flight to our next country: EGYPT.
